MICROWAVE: There is no need to remove the Go-PadZ pouch.  Place gel pack into microwave for approximately 30 seconds (if the gel pack is at room temperature) or 1 minute (if gel pack is frozen) on high power. After this time, check that the correct temperature has been reached.  If not, further warming should be in 10 second bursts.

TIMES ARE BASED ON A 600W MICROWAVE.

ADJUST HEATING TIMES ACCORDINGLY TO SUIT THE POWER OF YOUR MICROWAVE.

HOT WATER: Remove the Go-PadZ pouch.  Bring water to a boil.  Remove from heat and immerse the gel pack for approximately 4-10 minutes.  After 4 minutes, check every 1 minute to see if the correct temperature has been reached. Ideal to use for temporary relief of muscle aches and pains, back pain, sinusitis, and menstrual cramps.

Treating your injury:

As a result of an injury to a muscle, tissue or joint you may experience swelling, inflammation, or stiffening.  Swelling of the injury slows the process of healing due to the restriction of blood flow.  In order for the injury to heal, the blood flow must increase in the injured area.

Reduce swelling using RICE Therapy:

  • R: Rest, Avoid weight and force to the injury.
  • I: Ice, Use a cold compress, apply cold to the injured area
  • C: Compression, Use an elastic bandage, sleeve, or brace product to apply the necessary compression
  • E: Elevation, Help reduce swelling by elevating the injury

Warning: Always remove elastic wraps and sleeves before going to bed.  If pain is severe, persistent or the area feels extremely tender, see a doctor immediately.  There is always the chance that there is a severe strain, sprain or even a fracture. Recurring injuries should always be checked by a physician. Be sure to follow enclosed instructions for wrapping the elastic bandage.
